Gratz College Digital Collections

Gratz College Digital Collections support the mission of the Library and support the educational mission of the College. Digital Collections promote teaching and learning by providing preservation and removing barriers to access, acting as a hub of information for Jewish history, heritage, and culture. Gratz College Digital Collections is an active collection and will continue to grow with new items added on a regular basis.

Kort Geniza 2

Barbara and Fred Kort Holocaust Geniza Project

The Barbara and Fred Kort Holocaust Geniza Project is an archive digitization, research-based initiative of the Center for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights. It aims to preserve primary source materials and other Holocaust-related resources and artifacts—making them accessible to its students, the larger academic community, and the general public. These assets will be integrated into the curriculum across courses of study; will support graduate-level research; provide critical resources for elementary and secondary level teacher professional development; and support a range of other Center educational initiatives.

Judaica Americana 2

Josephine Cohen American Judaica Project

The Josephine Cohen American Judaica Project is an archive digitization, research-based initiative of Gratz College. It aims to preserve primary source materials on the American Jewish experience from the Colonial period to the contemporary moment—making them accessible to its students, the larger academic community, and the general public. The Judaica Americana Project's goal is to encourage its users to consider a diverse set of sources—religiously, geographically, and culturally—to deepen their understanding of American Jewish life and the forces of pluralism, exceptionalism, and tolerance in the broader sweep of American history. These assets will be integrated into the curriculum across courses of study; will support graduate-level research; provide critical resources for elementary and secondary-level teacher professional development; and support a range of other Gratz College initiatives.
