The David and Beverly Schorr Yiddish Programs at Gratz College seeks to provide a lively and dynamic environment for the revitalization of Yiddish culture. In addition to language classes on several levels of study, classic Yiddish films, Klezmer concerts, and trips to the Yiddish theater are sponsored on a regular basis.

While studying with Rita Ratson at Gratz College, David and Beverly Schorr found great joy in renewing and expanding their use of the Yiddish language. The Schorrs are passionate about Yiddish and keeping the language and culture of their childhood alive. They have therefore demonstrated their commitment to Yiddish education by sharing the success of their family business, DJS Associates, Inc., by generously endowing the Yiddish language and cultural program at Gratz College.
