Financial Aid and Fellowships
Academic Year: 2008-2009
There are a wide variety of financial aid options available to Gratz College students. These include Federal and State financial aid programs, campus-based awards (scholarships and fellowships) and aid available from private sources. The following two steps must be completed to be considered for Gratz College assistance.
All students applying for any form of campus-based, Federal or State financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a renewal FAFSA for 2008-2009; these are both available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. These forms should be completed as soon as possible in order to meet the deadlines.
All applicants must fill out a Gratz College Financial Aid Application and the Gratz College Student's Untaxed Income Form and return them to:

Entrance Loan Counseling
All new students who plan to take out Stafford Loans are required to complete an Entrance Loan Counseling Session informing you of your rights and responsibilities as a Federal loan borrower. This Entrance Loan Counseling requirement may be fulfilled on-line at www.mapping-your-future.org.
First-time borrowers: Please note the delay in the first disbursement of your Stafford loan. Federal regulations require your loan to be disbursed in two installments, with the first installment occurring 30 days after the semester begins.
Federal regulations also require loan borrowers with loan terms less than a full academic year to be disbursed in two payments from your lender during the semester or term.
